Dawlish has many fine pubs, but unless you are visiting from the South East you might find the prices a bit too much to swallow.

You can average out approximately £4 – £5 for a pint of beer/lager/cider and around £3 for a shot of spirits. Prices of wine vary enormously, so beware.

Many choose therefore to enjoy a drink outside, either on the beach or on the Lawn. The most popular place for enjoying an al fresco cool beer is Coryton Cove which is accessible via the beach walkway to the south of the train stations (see map below) or via Marine Parade by using the railway bridge at the entrance to the tunnel.
