Travellers caught without train tickets fined

  • Craig William Brownlow, aged 41, of Honeywell Road, Newton Abbot, was fined £40 for not having a ticket at Totnes Railway Station. He must pay £24.40 compensation for the ticket, costs of £180 and £16 to fund victim services. He pleaded guilty.

  • Jessica Elgie, aged 19, of Badgers Close, Kingsteignton, was fined £220 for not having a ticket at Newton Abbot. She must pay £21.25 compensation, £180 costs and £88 to fund victim services. The case was proved in her absence.

  • Helen James, aged 46, of Woodwater Lane, Exeter, was fined £220 for not having a ticket at Teignmouth. She must pay £7.10 compensation, £180 in costs and £176 to fund victim services. The case was proved in her absence.
